In the match against Bangladesh, when Hardik Pandya got injured, Kohli took it upon himself to complete the remaining three deliveries of Pandya’s over. Alongside Kohli, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav also tried their hand at bowling.
The atmosphere in the Indian team seemed vibrant, with players enjoying each other’s abilities and efforts. India is set to play their next World Cup match against England on October 29th at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
As of now, India is at the top of the points table in the World Cup, having won all their previous matches, including the one against New Zealand in Dharamshala.iwi team won the toss and elected to bat first.
New Zealand’s team was all out for 273 runs in 50 overs. India chased down the target of 274 in 48 overs with 6 wickets in hand.In that match, Virat Kohli played a splendid innings of 95 runs, while Mohammed Shami took 5 wickets.

Once again Hardik Pandya will not be a part of the team in their match against England due to an ongoing injury issue. His knee has not completely healed, and there is swelling in it, which prevents him from bowling.
After the Bangladesh match, India’s captain Rohit Sharma had said there was “no major damage” to Hardik, and the allrounder was referred to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for treatment. Hardik subsequently missed the New Zealand game, with the BCCI expecting him to be fully fit before knock out stages.
The team management and the BCCI are keen on ensuring that Hardik Pandya fully recovers before the knockout stage, so he can contribute effectively. Suryakumar Yadav has been included in his place, while Mohammed Shami replaced Shardul Thakur.
Well it remains to be seen whether Virat Kohli’s bowling skills will come into play on the field, not just in the nets.
