Team India received a warm welcome from enthusiastic fans
Team India has reached Mumbai before the semi-final against New Zealand on 15th November. The team was given a grand welcome in Mumbai. Team India played its last league match of ODI World Cup 2023 on 12th November against the Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, in which Team India secured a big win of 160 runs.

Team India In Splendid Form But Can’t Take News Zealand Lightly
Team India is in tremendous form and end the league stage holding the top position in the points table by winning all its matches. New Zealand has a very good record against India in the World Cups, Till now, there have been 117 ODI matches between India and New Zealand. Of these, 59 have been won by India, and 50 by New Zealand.
That means India has the upper hand over New Zealand, but it is not such a difference that anyone’s side is being one-sided. However, this is just one side of the coin. The second aspect is very scary for the New Zealand team, which it would not like to miss. The second aspect which is New Zealand’s performance in India.
New Zealand has played a total of 39 matches against India in India so far and has won only 8 of them, whereas India won 30 matches. A match was canceled. Even if we look at the figures after January 2000, New Zealand’s performance is equally bad.
From the year 2000 till now, a total of 20 matches were played between India and New Zealand in India. New Zealand was able to win only 4 of these matches, while India won 15, One match was canceled.
Just before the start of World Cup 2023, ODI matches were held between India and New Zealand in Hyderabad, Raipur and Indore. New Zealand had lost in all three. That too when India’s star cricketers Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer were out of the team due to injury. After this, in the World Cup also both the teams clashed in Dharamshala and India won this match easily. That means India has won all four matches held in 2023.
But India cannot take New Zealand lightly because In cricket any team can defeat any other team. In this World Cup, Netherlands defeated South Africa and Afghanistan defeated Pakistan and England.
Sometimes a single player outweighs the entire team – as Glenn Maxwell’s innings proved. In such a situation, India will also have to come against New Zealand with full strength and alertness. Cricket lovers must not have forgotten that match of 18th January in which Shubman Gill scored a double century. India had scored 349 runs in this match and New Zealand’s team had reached 337 runs in response.
