India Remained Unbeaten Until The Final

India’s journey till the ODI World Cup Final was commendable. They remained undefeated in the league stage and semi-finals. After winning 10 consecutive games, there were high expectations from the Indian team that they would fulfill the dream of winning the ICC trophy after 10 years by defeating Australia in the finals. All the batsmen appeared to be in excellent form, and the Indian bowling stood out as the best in the entire World Cup. It seemed impossible for any team to face the Indian bowlers. However, in the final, the Indian team couldn’t live up to the confidence of the audience and faced a crushing defeat at the hands of Australia.

In the decisive match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, Australia triumphed over India by 6 wickets, claiming their sixth title. In this title clash, the Kangaroo team’s captain, Pat Cummins, won the toss and elected to bowl first. Subsequently, the bowlers delivered an excellent performance, restricting the Indian innings to 240 runs.

While chasing the target, Australia lost 3 wickets in the initial 10 overs, but Travis Head’s prudent century played a pivotal role in achieving the set goal.
