Rishabh Pant Is Out Of Cricket Scene Since His Car Accident December Last Year

Former India captain and Delhi Capitals cricket Director, Sourav Ganguly, has made a significant announcement regarding Indian superstar Rishabh Pant’s participation in the next edition of the IPL. Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will once again play for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL season.

Pant Suffered A Car Accident

On December 30, 2022, Rishabh Pant’s car, en route from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee to visit his mother, collided with a road divider, resulting in an accident and subsequent fire. Despite the severity of the incident, Rishabh Pant miraculously escaped without any serious injuries. While he did sustain injuries, none were life-threatening.

Rishabh Pant Is Recovering Swiftly

Since the accident, Rishabh Pant has been on a hiatus from cricket, focusing on his recovery. He regularly shares updates on his recovery with fans on social media. Remarkably, only 40 days after the incident, Pant managed to stand on his feet for the first time.

Rishabh Pant Reached Kolkata On Three Day Tour With Other Delhi Capitals Players

Sourav Ganguly, speaking to reporters at the camp, provided an update on Pant, stating that he is now in good condition and will take part in the next IPL season. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly also mentioned that on December 19, Rishabh Pant came to Kolkata on a three-day tour to plan the strategy ahead of the IPL auction in Dubai.

Australian opener David Warner led the Indian team in Pant’s absence last season, but the team’s performance was less than stellar, securing the ninth position in the points table. Sourav Ganguly mentioned that Rishabh Pant will not come to practice immediately, he needs some more time to prepare.
