Rinku Singh’s Six Wasn’t Counted

India needed 20 runs in the last three overs. After that, Suryakumar lofted Behrendorff’s delivery into the air, and Aaron Hardie took a catch running backward from mid-on. In this over, only six runs were scored. In the next over, Ellis conceded seven runs. India required seven runs to win in the final over.

Rinku Singh hit a four off the first ball against Sean Abbott, but on the third, fourth, and fifth deliveries, India lost two wickets, including a run-out, scoring a total of three runs. With one run needed off the last ball, Rinku Singh hit a six, securing India’s victory. However, due to a no-ball, India had already secured the win on the fifth ball itself.

Actually, the last ball on which Rinku Singh hit a six was a no-ball. In this way, India had already received the necessary run, and they had already secured the victory, so the count of sixes was not considered.

Technically, India reached 209/8 in 19.5 overs. In response to this massive target, India had a poor start. Ruturaj Gaikwad, due to a misunderstanding, started running without facing any balls and was out for 0. Soon after, Yashasvi Jaiswal, in the pursuit of aggressive play, scored 21 runs off eight balls with the help of two boundaries but got out in the third over.
