VVS Laxman May Take The Charge
Prior to taking over as the Indian team’s coach, Rahul Dravid oversaw the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Following his time as a coach, V.V.S. Laxman was named Chief of the NCA. As per a report published in The Times of India, Laxman is excited about taking on the role of head coach for Team India and is ready for the opportunity. He recently had a meeting with Ahmedabad officials to discuss this issue, and it is anticipated that he will sign a long-term contract to coach Team India. According to the report, he will begin coaching after the tour of South Africa.
The Indian team is currently slated to play five Twenty20 matches against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav has been named captain for this series, while V.V.S. Laxman will fulfill the role of coach. India will then play South Africa in a three-match Twenty20 series starting on December 10. After that, Team India’s attention will turn to getting ready for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
