Ravindra’s outstanding performance in the World Cup 2023 played a crucial role in him defeating competitors Jasprit Bumrah and Quinton de Kock for the accolade. As of November 9, Ravindra leads in terms of scoring the most runs in the current tournament, amassing 565 runs in nine group stage matches.

In the World Cup 2023, Ravindra’s notable achievements included scoring a century in the opening match against defending champions England. This innings of 123 not out established him as the youngest New Zealand player to achieve a century in an ODI World Cup and the fourth Kiwi to score a century on his World Cup debut. His century against Australia, scoring 116 runs from 89 balls, and against Pakistan, with 108 runs off 94 balls, showcased his consistent excellence.
Ravindra’s performance extends beyond batting, as he has made significant contributions with the ball. In a match against Sri Lanka, he played a vital role in New Zealand’s strong bowling performance, taking two wickets.
Hayley Mathews Won best Women’s Cricketer Of The Month
In the women’s category, 25-year-old Hayley Mathews secured the award by scoring 99*, 132, and 79 during the T20 series of West Indies’ tour of Australia. She also earned the Player of the Series title. Mathews played a crucial role in West Indies’ victory in the second match of the T20 series, taking three wickets for 36 runs. In the ODI series, she contributed with scores of 20 and 23.
