IPL 2024 auction is scheduled to take place in Dubai on December 19. This marks the first time that the IPL auction will be held in Dubai. However, ahead of the auction, all the teams have submitted the lists of retained and released players to the IPL Governing Council. The highly anticipated transfer of Hardik Pandya back to the Mumbai Indians has been successfully completed. The all-rounder has made the move from the Gujarat Titans to the five-time champions in a one-way, all-cash trade. According to sources within the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL, formal approval has been granted for the trade. The MS Dhoni-led team, having secured their fifth title by defeating Gujarat Titans in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, will now enter the auction with a purse of 32.1 crore. Alongside Stokes, the players shown the exit door include Dwaine Pretorius, Ambati Rayudu, Sisanda Magala, Kyle Jamieson, Bhagath Varma, Senapati, and Akash Singh.
