India made a great start by winning the toss and batting first. First, Rohit scored runs at a fast pace, and then Gill batted aggressively. Rohit completed his 50 sixes in the World Cup, and the team’s score crossed 50 runs in the powerplay. Rohit Sharma was out on a personal score of 47 while trying to hit a six off Saudi’s ball.

However, in the powerplay, Team India managed to score 84 runs at the loss of one wicket. Gill and Kohli took India’s score beyond 150 runs. During this, Gill completed his half-century in 41 balls.
