Imad Wasim To Melbourne Stars– After Christmas, Imad Wasim is all set to join the Melbourne Stars for the remaining matches in the Big Bash League (BBL) after Christmas. Imad Wasim, who recently retired from international cricket, will bring a wealth of experience to the team. Known for his left-arm orthodox bowling and valuable lower-order batting skills, he has played 121 T20 and ODI games for Pakistan.

One of Imad’s unique skills is his ability to bowl with the new ball during the power play, a rare quality among spinners in world cricket. His arrival is anticipated to strengthen the team’s performance, especially with Liam available for the first three matches. Imad has a notable track record in the Big Bash League, having played ten matches previously. In the batting department, he scored a total of 56 runs in eight innings, with a highest score of 15 and an average of 11.2. On the bowling front, he bowled 37.1 overs and secured ten wickets, with his best figures being 2/13. Although he hasn’t achieved a five-wicket haul, his bowling average stands at 26.6, and his economy rate is 7.16.

Looking at his overall T20 statistics, Imad has participated in 66 T20 Internationals (T20Is). As a batter, he has accumulated 486 runs in 44 innings, boasting a highest score of 64. His batting average is 15.19, and he has a strike rate of 131.71, including one half-century. On the bowling front, Imad has bowled in 65 innings, claiming 65 wickets. He achieved a 5-wicket haul with his best figures in an innings being 5/14. With a bowling economy rate of 6.27 and an average of 21.78, Imad maintains an impressive strike rate of 20.86.
