The Huge Transfer Fee Behind Hardik Pandya To Mumbai Indians Deal
The Mumbai Indians will reportedly pay a large amount of Rs 15 crore (roughly $1.8 million) to secure Hardik’s services in what is expected to be an all-cash deal. In addition, the Gujarat Titans will receive an undisclosed transfer fee. Interestingly, Hardik could receive up to 50% of the transfer charge.
Should the proposed trade come to pass, it would be the most expensive player trade in IPL history and would be a historic moment. Even though none of the participating teams have released an official statement, the Mumbai Indians still have to make sure they have enough money for the laborious transfer procedure.
A BCCI source told TOI, “Hardik has been in touch with the Mumbai Indians franchise since the end of the last IPL. The transfer talks between the two were confirmed before the next IPL, two months before the start of the World Cup 2023. Now there is only a delay left for both the franchises to complete the rest of the procedures to finalize this deal. This will be announced after the completion of the process.

Hardik Pandya has been a great captain in the IPL
Hardik Pandya sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 15 crore. Hardik had led Gujarat Titans to the title in the very first season. In the second season, he again managed to take his team to the final. His replacement is not going to be easy for Gujarat.
On the other hand, the last two seasons of Mumbai Indians have been very bad. Rohit Sharma was not able to score big runs either. At the same time, Mumbai Indians are also looking for a future captain. In such a situation, the return of Hardik Pandya can prove to be a game-changer for him.
