Team India’s young fast bowler Deepak Chahar is facing Challenging time due to his father’s health. The incident occurred during his father Lokendra Singh Chahar’s attendance at a wedding in Aligarh, where he fell ill on Saturday. Deepak, who was with the Indian team in Bengaluru for the T20 series against Australia, immediately left for Delhi upon learning about his father’s deteriorating health. He skipped the 5th and final T20I match of the series to be with his father.

Deepak’s uncle, Deshraj, informed the media that Lokendra Singh Chahar was attending a wedding in Aligarh when the stroke occurred. Deepak rushed from Bengaluru to Delhi and then proceeded to Aligarh as soon as he received the news. Currently, his father’s condition is reported to be stable, and the Chahar family is considering shifting him to Delhi for further treatment.

According to media reports, Deepak’s father has a history of diabetes and hypertension. After the brain stroke, he underwent various essential tests, including tests for urinary infection, to assess his overall health condition.

Deepak Chahar, who is part of the Indian team for the upcoming limited-overs series against South Africa, stated that his father’s health is the top priority for him. He affirmed that he would remain with his father and provide assistance until he fully recovers. Deepak has already communicated all relevant information to the selectors and head coach Rahul Dravid, emphasizing that he will rejoin the team only when his father’s health permits.

Regarding the upcoming South Africa tour, Deepak mentioned that the decision to travel would depend entirely on his father’s health. He emphasized that he is in constant contact with the team management and is actively involved in discussions about the strategy for the series.
